O.K. Here's where some members of other generations lost it. Vaccuous, theoretical stuff that never hits the ground anywhere is just vapor. That's why no one wants what they perceive as their religion. But there is something out there besides the thin edge of Art Bell's mind or the latest scifi flick. The Lamb is real. Some religionists forgot that, O.K? But He's still real. The Bible tells of several prophets through whom God did fx, but the fx were not just for glory or cause' God liked colorful stuff. They were signs to turn folk to the real God. Actually, Jesus said that the greatest prophet that ever lived was John the Baptist, who did no miracles. Just shows you where God is at. He deals with things that count. And you count. E-mail me sometime, eh? |
I just got here (to Fortune City free webpages). Haven't had time to put up a real page yet. This quarter is a bit tight. I work attend Andrews University and am finishing my M.Div. I work at the White Estate, a fascinating place which preserves the writings of an essentially contemporary prophetess, yet who pointed to the Bible as a book handling more-than bottom-line authenticity.
